Do check out The Art Of Rigging video tutorial series by Kiaran Ritchie (hope they're still available online). It still is one of the best explained information on rigging that I've found till date. I believe it has 3 volumes (zipped to about 9GB in total size)... the incomplete tail animation kinda reminded me of that so... just sharing! :)

Hope you finished this one! All the best for your future endeavors... Cheers!

Hi there, thanks for the input. I did actually own the Art of rigging series. ( long time since I looked at it) tho.
But I did kind of find it, a tad long winded and old school my liking.?

The tail animation was added later, using a stretchy IK solver,(it needs some dynamics applied to it).
My main concern in the animation was getting the thing moving on all fours.

I will finish this at some point as it needs a whole chunk of work doing upon it. (Stuff that will take longer to do than simply just model and animate)

Any way thanks for the praise, and good luck.

Ta very much. :t

Cool! Yea, it's quite old-school, isn't it? :D the MEL-scripting part is kinda gratuitous (but was fun for a decent amount of time back then for me to doze off to it haha)

You're welcome. Your work IS praiseworthy. No worries... Have a great productive week ahead!

You should totally make that tail swing about, it would add alot to the movement. Other then that, great work.

Oh thanks for that.. Its still workin progress and I wanted to get the main cycle going first, since then I have had started more projects and it has been put on the back burner. Reason being I cannot decide which app to sculpt it in zbrush or mudbox as they both have flaws which really bug me.. But I will finish it.

Well, since I know nothing of those programs I am of no help to you on that matter... but I guess you should go with the program that will make the best end result. But you already knew that. :P
Anyway, good luck with it. So what new projects are you working with?

Well seeing as halloween is approaching I have a 3d frankenstein character modeled and animated along with a 3d mummy which is animated but not textured. There is a mummy artwork being generated on my phone/tablet. I have a zombie boy as well if i can fit it in. So stay tuned....
